The Team Behind
the Mission
Seven passionate professionals united by one shared purpose — transforming neurodiverse lives across Kenya, starting in Kisumu.
Built by People Who Care
Each founder brings decades of experience and a deeply personal commitment to improving the lives of neurodiverse children and their families in Kenya.
CEO & Founder
The inspiration behind NeuroConnect Therapy Centre stems from a deeply personal journey. As a parent of a nonverbal, autistic 9-year-old, I've faced the heartbreak of watching my son go without consistent therapies after receiving intensive treatment at the Neurogen Institute of Brain and Spine in Mumbai, India. The absence of accessible, high-quality neurorehabilitation services locally meant my child — and many others like him — was left without the support needed to thrive. The realization that countless families face similar challenges inspired me to take action.
Chairman
Dr. Jackton Omoto is a distinguished Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over three decades of experience in clinical practice, medical education, and healthcare leadership in Kenya. As Chairman of NeuroConnect Therapy Centre, he provides strategic oversight and governance leadership that guides the centre's mission of delivering specialized therapy and learning support services for children with neurodevelopmental needs. His leadership helps strengthen NeuroConnect's vision of providing compassionate, multidisciplinary care and advancing neurorehabilitation services for children and families across the region.
Board Member
Prof. Orwenjo brings distinguished academic and international leadership to NeuroConnect's board. His research spans Multilingualism and Education, Health Communication, Forensic Linguistics, and Urban Youth Language. A consultant for global bodies including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Commonwealth of Learning (CoL) Canada, and the Global Centre for Policy and Strategy (GLOCEPS), he brings a uniquely broad perspective on language, communication, and child development — invaluable to NeuroConnect's mission of holistic, multidisciplinary support for neurodiverse children.
Co-Founder
Working in Kenyan mainstream health sector exposed me to numerous opportunities to serve the sick and the needy. The worst feeling being when I had genuinely offered my all, yet the patients still yearned for more. Together with a team of like-minded professional colleagues, we challenged ourselves to support parents going through tremendous hardships in sourcing quality Neurological Rehabilitation services for their loved ones.
Co-Founder
Working in the health sector for more than 29 years exposed me to the numerous challenges neurodiverse children undergo. This gave me a duty to be part of NeuroConnect Therapy Centre to fill the significant void in neurorehabilitative therapy services — with the intention of serving clients locally, nationally and internationally.
Co-Founder
A look at my health career journey in the last 15 years opened up a new dimension which had been missing all along in my personal life. NeuroConnect Therapy Centre became an instant purpose — most importantly, a touch of healing to the young ones and their families who will benefit from the therapies offered here.
Co-Founder
Born from a great desire to alleviate the pain and anguish of both patients and parents of the affected. Having worked in public hospitals, I gained immense insight on the needs and gaps in this sector. Our goal is to reach out globally to all those affected with convenient, holistic, excellent services and partnerships with like-minded organizations.
